About The Role

As Deputy Home Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth and effective running of the home. You’ll provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing and care teams, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person‑centred care in a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the day‑to‑day operations and overall management of the home.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to nursing and care staff.
  • Oversee care planning and ensure compliance with CQC and company standards.
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with staff management, recruitment, and training.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
  • Take responsibility for the home in the manager’s absence.

About You

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager or Clinical Lead within a nursing home is essential.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A compassionate, professional approach with a commitment to quality care.
