Due to an increase in headcount, this leading manufacturer based in Coventry is expanding their production assembly team and are looking for a Production Technician with an electronic background or strong interest in electronics to join our growing operation. This is a full-time role working Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-2pm.

This Production Technician is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys building, modifying, inspecting, soldering, and calibrating electronic equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role
  • Goods-in and inwards inspection of service and repair instruments
  • Modifying electronic instruments to meet specific customer requirements
  • Rebuilding and assembling instruments ready for calibration
  • Soldering (through-hole and surface mount preferred)
  • Building sub-assemblies to support new builds and service stock levels
  • Gas calibration of instruments using Environics systems and small gas cylinders
  • Calibration using custom-built tools specific to our products
  • Carrying out quality inspections and assessments of outgoing equipment
  • Accurately following work instructions, manuals, and works orders
  • Working safely in a calibration lab environment, including use of toxic gases
  • Adapting to changing production demands and workload priorities
What We're Looking For
  • An electronic background or strong interest in electronics
  • Experience using hand tools (manual and electronic)
  • Soldering experience (through-hole and surface mount desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • A fast-paced, productive working style
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to carry out some manual handling

Full training is provided, so attitude and aptitude matter just as much as experience.
