We are now hiring a Senior Fleet Manager to lead the development of our Autonomous Vehicles (AV) fleet management operations. This pivotal role will join a new business unit at the forefront of mobility innovation, reporting directly to a Senior Vice President at Freenow and working in close alignment with the Lyft Autonomous Business Unit and Partners.

Responsibilities
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
- Operational Blueprint Strategy: Together with Lyft's Autonomous Vehicles Business unit, Flexdrive, and Freenow Operations, you will define the operational blueprint for the AV fleet operations approach across Europe. This involves designing temporary, mid-term, and long-term approaches to autonomous vehicles management in Europe, creating distinct business models adapted to local realities in different markets.
- Fleet Management Partnership Management & Negotiation: You will take the lead in negotiations with potential fleet management partners.
- AV Partners Operations: You will oversee the AV partnerships operations in Europe, including issue resolution, billing reconciliation, analytics, KPI tracking, and customer feedback analysis.
- Fleet Deployment & Asset Standards: You will oversee end-to-end fleet deployment (specifically for Baidu in the UK and other partners across Europe). You will be the guardian of asset quality, developing vehicle maintenance workflows and ensuring partners maintain Lyft-owned assets to our rigorous standards.
- Depot & Operations Optimization: You are responsible for depot and operations optimization, ensuring strict adherence to process standards.
- Team Building & Growth: While initially an individual contributor role, this is a position with huge possibilities. You will progressively build and lead an operational team to manage fleet partner relationships and develop Lyft's own operational footprint.
Qualifications
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- The ideal candidate will combine deep operational expertise in fleet management with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and build teams.
- Professional Background: 5+ years of experience in Fleet Management, Asset-heavy Mobility Operations, or Logistics, ideally within a high-growth or tech environment.
- AV & Deployment Experience: Experience in deploying fleets or managing complex operational rollouts is essential. Exposure to the Autonomous Vehicle sector is a strong plus.
- Vendor Management: Proven track record of negotiating with and managing third-party vendors, fleet partners, or maintenance providers.
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong ability to manage P&L components, billing reconciliation, and operational KPIs. You use data to drive optimization and ensure asset integrity.
- Language: Fluency in English and German.
- Willingness to Travel: This role requires frequent travel to London and Germany to oversee on-the-ground operations and partner sites, and periodic travel to the United States.
- Builder Mindset: You are comfortable starting as an individual contributor and have the leadership capabilities to recruit and scale a high-performing team.
