We are seeking specialist freelance contributors to join our team at Free Movement, a platform dedicated to providing updates, commentary, training, and advice on immigration and asylum law. As a contributor, you will have the opportunity to write for a wide audience and support the hard work that goes into maintaining our website.
We are particularly interested in hearing from legal practitioners in business and student immigration, as well as those keen to write about new cases and developments in immigration law, policy, and practice. Successful applicants will be able to respond quickly to new developments, write fluently and concisely, and analyze complex legal concepts in simple language.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Responding quickly to new developments, meeting deadlines of between 4 and 48 hours
- Writing fluently, stylishly, and concisely in English
- Analyzing, understanding, and explaining complex legal concepts in simple language
- Being legally trained with experience in UK immigration law and practice
- Being familiar with key sources of information on immigration law
- Using the Free Movement Slack and responding to messages
- Being highly computer literate and able to use WordPress software
Work will be undertaken remotely and on a non-employed basis, with fees payable for the work negotiable but typically £100 for a standard article.
