Commercial Lawyer – Freemans Grattan Holdings (FGH)
Bradford | Hybrid 2 office days per week
2-4 years PQE (although we are happy to see candidates outside that range with the appropriate experience)
Are you a commercially savvy solicitor with general commercial and contract law experience? Ready to make an impact and elevate your career within a modern and dynamic online retail business?
We are looking for a self-motivated Commercial Lawyer to join our friendly, collaborative in-house team. You’ll play a key role in advising on general trading matters, drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers, giving legal advice in relation to customer rights,advertising and promotions. Plus, you’ll gain valuable exposure to financial services regulation.
You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts that shape our commercial landscape across diverse legal areas of Retail, Procurement and Finance Operations. A key team player, you will build relationships with colleagues and senior stakeholders to embed awareness of legal risk management and corporate policy.

Essential:
- Experience in commercial law
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to commute to Bradford at least two days a week
Desirable:
- Experience in UK consumer credit law, including the Consumer Credit Act 1974
- Knowledge of financial services regulation
- In-house legal experience within retail or financial services
