About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, high-energy Festival Bar Manager to lead bar operations during one of the biggest motorsport events in the world. This is a fast-paced, large-scale environment where strong leadership, organisation, and a calm approach under pressure are essential.
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience, managing large bar teams, and ensuring smooth, compliant, and profitable operations throughout the event. Please note: Due to the nature of the event, you will be required to stay on-site for the duration. Accommodation will be provided in staff caravans.
About You
- Proven experience managing bars at festivals, stadiums, or major events
- Strong leadership and team management skills (50+ staff preferred)
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Personal licence holder (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of licensing laws and health & safety requirements
- Ability to work long hours in a high-pressure environment
- Confident communicator with a proactive mindset
- Experience in motorsport or large sporting events
- Stock management and EPOS system experience
- Experience coaching or mentoring staff for leadership development
- Knowledge of festival or event-specific workflows, including hospitality zones, VIP areas, and outdoor bars
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage bar operations across your allocated area or venue
- Brief, and supervise bar supervisors and staff teams
- Manage stock control and wastage prevention
- Monitor licensing compliance, Challenge 25, and health & safety standards
- Handle escalations, incidents, and customer service issues professionally
- Coordinate with event operations, logistics, and senior management teams
- Deliver daily briefings and performance feedback to staff
- Ensure accurate cash handling and reporting procedures
