Description
As Hospitality Manager for Freemans Event Partners at Gloucester Rugby, you will be responsible for leading and delivering all hospitality operations across matchdays, corporate events, conferences, private functions, and non-matchday events at Kingsholm Stadium.
Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and commercial success across all hospitality areas of the stadium.
You will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of hospitality services, managing relationships with clients, sponsors, catering partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure every event reflects the high standards and values of Freemans Event Partners.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a passion for hospitality, customer service excellence, team development, and creating memorable experiences for supporters, hospitality members, sponsors, corporate clients, and visitors.

- Previous experience in hospitality, events, conference, hotel, stadium, or venue management.
- Proven experience leading and motivating customer-facing teams.
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations, food and beverage service, and guest experience delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, stock control, and operational costs.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments and with external suppliers.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of food safety, licensing, and health and safety requirements.
- Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and matchdays as required.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Experience working within a professional sports, stadium, or large-scale events environment.
- Personal Licence Holder qualification.
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience using EPOS systems, venue management software, and event booking platforms.
- Experience managing premium hospitality, corporate events, or VIP guest experiences.
- Knowledge of rugby, sports hospitality, and the commercial operation of a professional sports club.
- Experience developing hospitality packages and supporting revenue-generating initiatives.
- First Aid qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
