This pivotal senior role leads end‑to‑end bid and tender processes across the business – from opportunity assessment and strategy development through to submission and post‑bid review. You’ll bring together cross‑functional teams (operations, food innovation, marketing, sustainability and finance) to craft compelling, insight‑led proposals that win new business and retain key contracts. Beyond bid management, you’ll shape commercial storytelling, overseeing the creation of decks, proposals and presentations that articulate our value to clients and partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and project‑manage all major bid and tender opportunities from start to finish.
- Develop clear bid strategies and win themes aligned with client objectives and brand positioning.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders to gather operational, financial and technical input into proposals.
- Manage timelines, review cycles and submission quality to ensure best‑in‑class outputs.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements while presenting creative, differentiated solutions.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date document and insight cache to save time replicating work.
- Translate business strategy and data insights into persuasive, commercially sound narratives.
- Oversee the production of high‑quality, branded documents for both new business and existing client presentations.
- Work with internal teams to develop methodologies and case studies that demonstrate innovation, sustainability and operational excellence.
- Review and enhance commercial and pricing proposals with input from finance and operations teams.
- Conduct structured post‑bid reviews to capture learnings, feedback and performance metrics.
- Implement process improvements to enhance future bid success and efficiency.
- Maintain and evolve a central library of bid materials, templates and credentials.
- Lead innovation in this space, ensuring we are always the best at what we do.
Stakeholder & Brand Alignment
- Support wider commercial activities such as sponsorship proposals, partner pitch decks and event hospitality sales materials.
- Represent the commercial team in internal strategy meetings, contributing insights on market trends, competitor activity and client expectations.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in bid management, tender strategy or commercial development, ideally within catering, events or hospitality.
- Exceptional written communication and presentation skills – able to translate technical and operational detail into engaging, client‑focused narratives.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination abilities, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Commercial acumen and understanding of financial modelling, pricing and value propositions.
- Strategic thinker with a keen eye for design, storytelling and brand tone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Canva) is advantageous.
