Freemans Event Partners is seeking a passionate and experienced Casual Event Costa Unit Manager to oversee operations at our Costa Coffee unit, ensuring outstanding service and smooth delivery throughout every event.
Hours & Pay
This is a casual, event-based position with shifts scheduled around the stadium’s calendar of fixtures and events. Once registered, you’ll have access to our scheduling app, where you can view and sign up for upcoming shifts. Pay: £16 per hour.
About the Role
As a Costa Unit Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a small team of baristas, ensuring the unit operates efficiently and delivers the exceptional coffee experience Costa is known for. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations including stock control, team management, and customer service, while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and compliance. This is a hands-on role where barista experience is essential - you’ll be both leading by example and supporting your team to ensure every guest leaves happy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of baristas and hospitality staff to deliver excellent service.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and breakdown of the Costa Coffee unit at events.
- Maintain stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment and accurate inventory management.
- Handle cash and card transactions in line with company procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Train and support team members in Costa Coffee products and operational standards.
- Resolve any customer issues quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with event operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
About You
- Proven experience managing or supervising within a fast-paced café or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and support a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Hands-on barista experience and a genuine passion for great coffee.
- Confident managing stock, cash handling, and POS systems.
- Organised, proactive, and able to make decisions under pressure.
- Flexible and available for evening, weekend, and event shifts.
- Previous experience working in event or festival settings is desirable but not essential.
