The Clinical Housing Supervisor is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) responsible for providing ongoing supervision of clinical staff and services delivered by the Housing Program under Community Care. The Clinical Housing Supervisor is responsible for managing housing, clinical services and supports to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognising that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. The Clinical Housing Supervisor demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. The Clinical Housing Supervisor will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimisation, abuse or trauma as a result of the care received. The Clinical Housing Supervisor will report to the Director of Adult Community Services.

Education: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university

Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise and oversight to clinical and housing staff in the delivery of housing program services to ensure all clinical services are person centred, medically necessary, recovery and trauma focused.
  • Ensures housing standards and HUD regulations are current and followed for Ozark Center housing and reports any issues, critical incidents and concerns timely to the Director.
  • Reviews and completes housing referrals and assessments timely and ensures clients are placed in appropriate level of care for needs and services required.
  • Ensures communication occurs between clinical and housing team, the individuals referred and the referral sources prior to, during and following housing interviews.
  • Is readily available to serve as back-up to supervisees when supervisees are unavailable (due to being with other clients, sickness, vacation, etc.) or in need of additional expertise and actively assist with crisis resolution.
  • Effectively leads ongoing housing and clinical team meetings to regularly evaluate clinical and housing level needs of clients in housing program.
  • Provides regular supervisory meetings with supervisees to ensure all staff receive adequate oversight of work expectations and that quality of care and service delivery needs are managed timely.
  • Ensures that all required documentation is completed within established timeframes and according to quality standards set by State and Federal regulations, CARF certifications and program expectations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical office environment.
  • Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
  • Requires ability to work under stressful conditions, to adapt to changing schedules, and to effectively resolve conflict.
  • Requires repetitive use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Requires use of personal vehicle for travel and client transportation.
  • Requires good driving skills.
  • Requires use of personal cell phone to communicate with program staff/supervisor/office staff during work hours.
  • Requires use of a computer.
  • Requires ability to get in/out of vehicle to provide oversight and care for clients on team.
  • TB test upon hire.
