As Communications Manager, you’ll lead the strategy that shapes how we show up in the world. This is a new and exciting role, focused on amplifying our voice across healthcare, public and policy audiences. You’ll work closely with our small but passionate team to grow awareness of our work, strengthen our messaging and ensure consistent, values-led communication across all platforms.
You’ll be both a strategist and a creator, bringing clarity, consistency and creativity to everything from campaign planning and media relations to newsletters and donor communications. This role offers the chance to make a real impact at the heart of a growing movement.
Responsibilities
You’ll lead on all aspects of PBHP UK’s communications, helping us inspire change and grow our reach. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering our overall communications strategy
- Creating content and campaigns that engage the public, healthcare professionals and policymakers
- Shaping our media presence through storytelling, strategic messaging and press engagement
- Managing newsletters and mailing lists, ensuring high-quality and timely communication
- Supporting fundraising goals with compelling donor-facing content
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to align communications across all workstreams
- Maintaining brand consistency and managing reputation, including crisis communication planning
- Using digital tools to track and measure the impact of communications work
- Building relationships with media, influencers and partners to expand our visibility
Role Requirements
You’re an experienced communications professional who combines strategic thinking with creative flair. You’ve led successful campaigns, influenced public or policy conversations, and are confident working across multiple channels. Whether it’s designing content, building media relationships or responding in a crisis, you bring clarity, confidence and care to your work.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited by the chance to shape the voice of a growing organisation. You’re passionate about health, sustainability or systems change, and you understand the power of inclusive, values-led storytelling.
You’re also flexible and willing to travel within the UK to represent PBHP UK at events, parliamentary meetings and stakeholder workshops.
Most of all, you’re ready to use your skills to drive meaningful change.
What excites you
You’re energised by purpose and want your work to contribute to a healthier, fairer world. You enjoy crafting messages that matter and using communications as a tool for change. Whether you’re creating content, shaping strategy or building relationships, you’re driven by the idea that good storytelling can shift hearts, minds and systems.
You’re excited by the opportunity to work across health, sustainability and advocacy. You value evidence, inclusion and collaboration, and you’re looking for a role where your creativity and strategic thinking will be trusted, appreciated and put to good use.
