I am looking for an experienced VoIP engineer to configure a Poly VVX 450 phone to properly handle outbound and inbound calls using prefix-based routing.
Current Setup
- Device: Poly VVX 450
- SIP Provider: 1 SIP account/extension
- Multiple phone numbers (DIDs) connected to the same SIP account
- The SIP provider allows outbound prefix assignment per number (e.g., 101, 102, etc.)
Goal
I want to use the programmable line keys on the Poly VVX 450 to control which number is used for outbound calls and to correctly map inbound calls to specific line keys.
Required Configuration
Outbound Call Behavior
- When Line Key 1 is pressed, outbound calls must automatically use the number assigned to prefix 101.
- When Line Key 2 is pressed, outbound calls must automatically use the number assigned to prefix 102.
- The prefix should be automatically added when dialing from the respective line key.
Inbound Call Behavior
- When a call is received on the number associated with prefix 101, it should ring/display on Line Key 1.
- When a call is received on the number associated with prefix 102, it should ring/display on Line Key 2.
Scope of Work
- Configure the Poly VVX 450 appropriately (local configuration or provisioning server, depending on best practice).
- Ensure proper prefix insertion for outbound calls per line key.
- Ensure correct inbound call mapping to corresponding line keys.
- Provide documentation of the final configuration.
Required Experience
- Strong experience with Poly / Polycom VVX provisioning and configuration
- SIP routing and prefix-based outbound dialing
- VoIP troubleshooting
- Experience working with SIP providers and DID mapping
