I am looking for an experienced video editor to create an emotional and natural-looking promo video for my photography travel experiences. The final video should be 90–120 seconds long and designed to inspire viewers to learn more about my photo tours.
I will provide approximately 45 GB of raw footage, recorded with a smartphone and a classic camcorder. While the material is not highly cinematic, it is of solid quality and was captured with a photographer's eye. Most clips were filmed spontaneously throughout the journey.
The style of the final video should closely reflect and harmonize with my photographic aesthetic. I will provide a selection of my photographs so the video's mood, color palette, and visual language can align with my existing work. The video should feel authentic, calm, and emotional — without unnecessary effects or overly dynamic cuts. The focus is on atmosphere, human connection, and the essence of traveling with a camera.
Tasks:
- Review and select the most suitable raw footage
- Create a 90–120 second emotional, natural-looking promo video
- Develop storytelling and pacing that fit the aesthetic of my photography
- Color correction and grading to match my photographic style
- Audio cleanup and selection of fitting royalty-free background music
- Subtle, refined editing with an emphasis on mood and authenticity
Requirements:
- Experience with documentary-style or emotional travel/storytelling videos
- Strong sense for aesthetics, color grading, and natural visual styles
- Ability to adapt video editing to an existing photographic visual language
- Proficiency with video editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.)
- Reliable and clear communication
- Please include references or samples of similar work with your application
Project Details:
- Start: immediately possible
- One-time project with potential for future collaboration
- Flexible timeline, to be discussed individually
I look forward to your application and your references.
