Project Overview: We are producing a commercial spec for a fashion brand rooted in gorpcore / post-apocalyptic-meets-modern aesthetics. The Spring campaign centers on a yogi practicing inside an abandoned warehouse space that visually transforms into a forest environment. This is a performance-driven awareness piece for social and web.

Tone reference: Grounded realism, Dystopian minimalism. Category-adjacent to REI and The North Face, but visually darker, more fashion-forward, and dystopian in tone. Subtle, seamless VFX (not flashy, not sci-fi). We want the VFX to feel invisible and photoreal.

Scope of Work: We are consulting pre-production (shoot date tentatively Feb 28) and need guidance before we shoot.

  • Primary VFX Needs:
  • Environment Transformation: Interior warehouse → forest compositing
  • Shot 3 push-in on talent's eyes
  • Shot 4 zoom-out revealing full forest world
  • Forest world continues for multiple yoga poses (frames 5–12)
  • We are shooting on green screen for these sections. Goal: Seamless realism. No "YouTube green screen" look.
  • Optional / Possible Other VFX Needs:
  • Heat-reactive garment color shift
  • Handprint heat impression on fabric
  • Possible sweat enhancement
  • Potential subtle atmospheric forest elements (light rays, floating pollen, light haze — optional)

These must feel natural and product-driven.

  • Strong Possibles (Consult-Based):
  • Subtle push/zoom digital enhancement in Frame 3
  • World continuity across multiple poses
  • Lighting integration advice pre-shoot

Technical Specs (Planned):

  • Cameras: Sony FX6 / FX3
  • Resolution: DCI 4K
  • Color Space: S-Log3 / S-Gamut3
  • Cine Frame Rate: 23.98
  • Some slow motion shots
  • Final delivery: 1080 for social
  • Likely ProRes master delivery (not DCP)

We need consultation on:

  • Motion blur considerations
  • Tracking markers
  • Lighting approach
  • Plate shooting
  • HDRI needs
  • Lens data
  • How to avoid compositing issues

What We Need From You:

  • Pre-production consult
  • Shot feasibility assessment
  • Recommended shooting approach for clean compositing
  • Rough bid range for full VFX execution
  • Estimated timeline

Budget Tier: This is a spec. Scrappy but serious. We are looking for:

  • Someone strong enough to make it look premium
  • Someone realistic about budget
  • Someone who can scale approach intelligently

Please include:

  • Your rate (consult + execution)
  • Relevant compositing examples
  • Forest/environment replacement work
  • Fabric or subtle product FX work if applicable

Timeline:

  • Pre-production consult: ASAP
  • Shoot date: Feb 28 (tentative)
  • VFX turnaround: TBD based on scope

Important: We are not looking for flashy Unreal Engine demo reels. We are looking for:

  • Clean compositing
  • Strong eye for realism
  • Understanding of fashion lighting
  • Ability to advise before we shoot

To Apply:

  • Have you done interior-to-exterior compositing before?
  • What's your approach to realistic forest integration?
  • What would you need from production to make this seamless?
  • What's the biggest risk in this setup?
  • Ballpark range for ~6–8 composited shots?

If you're interested in helping us build this world properly from the ground up, we'd love to talk. Contract duration of less than 1 month.
