Our current PageSpeed Insights report shows:
- Page-level metrics are acceptable
- Origin-level Core Web Vitals are failing (mobile)
- Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) needs improvement
- Minor layout shift (CLS) improvements needed
We want this fixed properly — not with hacks, but with durable, best-practice performance optimization.
Scope of Work
We are looking for a WordPress performance expert to:
- Improve Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
- Identify and optimize true LCP element
- Convert and properly size hero imagery (WebP/AVIF)
- Implement image preloading where appropriate
- Ensure correct lazy-loading strategy (LCP excluded)
- Reduce Render Blocking Resources
- Remove or defer non-critical JS
- Remove unused CSS
- Implement critical CSS strategy if needed
- Optimize font loading (self-hosting, preload, swap)
- Reduce Layout Shift (CLS)
- Ensure all images include dimensions or aspect-ratio
- Stabilize any dynamic elements (promo bars, sliders, embeds)
Script & Plugin Optimization
- Audit all active plugins
- Disable unnecessary scripts per-page
- Implement conditional loading
- Reduce third-party bloat (analytics, widgets, etc.)
Improve Origin-Level Performance
- Ensure proper caching headers
- Configure page caching
- CDN recommendations (Cloudflare currently available)
- Ensure Brotli compression enabled
