We are purchasing a 10-year-old G+2 RCC villa in a gated community located in Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru. Before registration, we require a senior structural engineer to conduct an onsite inspection and provide an independent structural feasibility assessment for installing an internal residential lift that would require slab core cutting across all floors.
Scope of Work:
- Conduct onsite inspection of the villa
- Review structural condition (visible cracks, distress, workmanship, slab condition)
- Assess feasibility of cutting slab openings for a lift shaft across G+1+2
- Identify 2–3 possible lift shaft location options
- Evaluate beam orientation and load path impact
- Identify any structural risks (beam/column interference, punching shear concerns)
- Recommend whether internal shaft is feasible OR external shaft is safer
- Suggest required strengthening measures (if applicable)
- Advise if NDT testing (rebound hammer, cover meter, etc.) is recommended
Deliverables:
- Written structural feasibility report (PDF)
- Site photographs
- Marked-up floor plan sketches indicating possible lift locations
- Clear go/no-go recommendation
- Optional short call with lift vendor/contractor
Important:
- Must be based in Bengaluru and able to visit site physically
- Must have experience in RCC structural retrofit and residential structural audits
- Experience with lift shaft modifications in existing homes preferred
- Please confirm ability to conduct site visit in Yelahanka New Town
Contract duration of less than 1 month, with 30 hours per week.
