We are developing a hotel using a mix of traditional reinforced concrete buildings and pre-fabricated shipping container units. Location is East Africa on the coast, hot & humid. The site features majority single-story structures with two (2) two-story concrete buildings.
Scope of Work:
- Concrete Buildings: Complete structural design for the permanent concrete structures (foundation, walls, roof, and floor slabs).
- Container Units: Design of foundation systems (pads, piers, or strip footings) for single-story, drop-in container units.
Exclusions: The containers are fully pre-fabricated and strictly single-story. No structural modifications, stacking analysis, or cutout framing for the containers is required.
Deliverables: A comprehensive set of structural drawings and calculations for the concrete buildings and container foundations suitable for permitting.
Requirements:
- Strong background in reinforced concrete design
- Experience with foundations for modular or pre-fabricated structures
- Available for video calls in English with the other team members (Architect, MEP..)
