We're looking for a proactive, creative, and highly organized Social Media VA to join our team and help manage our growing local media platform. This is not just a scheduling role. You will be actively creating content, writing captions, engaging with our audience, and helping keep everything running smoothly.
We work as a team and provide guidance, templates, and direction — but we need someone who can take ownership and execute.
What You'll Be Responsible For:- Using our Canva templates to create branded business spotlight graphics
- Repurposing approved articles into strong, engaging social captions (you will be writing all captions)
- Creating weekly engagement posts (community question-style posts)
- Posting pre-made videos (mostly giveaways) and collaborating with our team on the captions for those
- Scheduling all content in advance
- Getting final approval from the team before posting
- Engaging daily on posts (replying to comments, liking comments, interacting with followers)
- Sharing top-performing posts to stories
- Making sure everything is consistent, polished, and on-brand
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday – Business spotlight posts (templates + business list provided)
- Tuesday – Video post (usually giveaways) + heavy engagement day
- Thursday – High engagement community question post
We want someone who is detail-oriented, confident writing captions, comfortable using Canva templates, and proactive about engagement. The goal is not just posting — it's building community.
We are collaborative and supportive, and we move quickly. If you love content, consistency, and creating engagement, this will be a great fit.
Contract duration of more than 6 months, with 40 hours per week.
