We need short-form video (think Reels, TikTok, Shorts) for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn that announces an update to our brand identity and pays homage to our previous iterations or eras as a company in a video that is 20 seconds or less in total.
Open to other ideas, but suggest the following techniques:
- The "Jump Cuts" to transition between our "eras".
- Sound Design: Use a "thud" or "stamp" sound effect every time a version of our logo appears. For the DJ video, use a snippet of music that matches the era (e.g., a bit of early 2000s pop, then 2010s EDM, then modern lo-fi or house).
- Visual Hierarchy: Keep the logos in the same spot on the screen so the viewer's eye doesn’t have to hunt for them.
Video 1: "The Evolution of Celebration" (All Audiences)
- Format: 10-15 second Reel/TikTok.
- Visuals: split screen or other effect
- 0:00-0:03: 2003 Era. An event planner or coordinator holding a giant physical binder and a flip phone. Logo 1 (The original) stamps onto the screen.
- 0:03-0:06: 2015 Era. A planner holding a tablet. Logo 2 (The midpoint) stamps over the first.
- 0:06-0:10: 2026 Era. A planner tapping a phone, looking relaxed/smiling. Logo 3 (The New Refresh) stamps center-screen.
- 0:10-0:15: Text overlay: "New Look. Same Commitment. Since 2003."
Draft Accompanying Copy (IG/FB): "Events have changed. We have, too. From the era of flip phones to the age of AI, we've been the partner in your pocket. Today, we're refreshing our look to better serve the next generation of party people. Same heart, smarter tools. Let's make some memories."
Video 2: "The DJ's Journey" (LinkedIn / Pro Focus)
- Format: 12-15 second high-energy edit.
- Visuals:
- Frame 1: DJ in a baggy 2003-style polo/frosted tips, spinning a CDJ or actual vinyl. Original Logo stamps in the corner.
- Frame 2: DJ in 2014-style "neon/EDM" gear with a laptop setup. Mid-era Logo stamps.
- Frame 3: DJ today in a sleek, minimalist outfit with a streamlined controller. New 2026 Logo stamps firmly in the center.
- Final Frame: New Logo over a shot of a packed dance floor. Text: "Helping you book the room since '03."
DRAFT Copy (LinkedIn): "You've upgraded your gear, your library, and your business. It was time we upgraded ours, too. Eventective is proud to unveil a brand refresh that reflects the modern, effortless experience we provide for event pros. We're still the same reliable partner you've known for two decades—just with a sharper edge. Log in to see what's new."
The "Stamping" Logic (Technical Note): To make the "stamp" effect work visually:
- Opacity: Make the logo look like it's being pressed onto the video—slightly transparent for a millisecond before becoming solid.
We can provide logo/typography assets, but would need help in the accompanying visuals.
Contract duration of less than 1 month with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Video Editing, Video Production, Video Commercial, Instagram Reels, Promotional Video, Social Media Video, Stock Footage.
