I'm building a clean, highly polished thought leadership website for my personal platform, Operable Strategy. The site will house:
- Long-form articles
- Flagship white papers (downloadable)
- Media placements
- Speaking engagements
- A philosophy-driven About page
This is not a SaaS product site and not a consulting landing page. It should feel like a modern strategist's notebook — minimal, structured, typography-led, and editorial in tone.
Brand direction (logo, font system, colour palette) has already been developed and will be provided in Figma. I'm looking for a Squarespace expert who can translate that brand system into a refined, custom-feeling site with strong hierarchy and restraint.
The Ideal Designer
- Have deep experience building high-end Squarespace sites
- Have a strong eye for typography and spacing
- Understand editorial design (not just landing page design)
- Can build clean, white-background, minimal layouts
- Think in terms of structure and hierarchy
- Know how to create visual clarity without clutter
- Can elevate a brand visually beyond "template-level"
Bonus if you:
- Have designed sites for authors, strategists, investors, academics, or operators
- Understand long-form content formatting
- Have experience designing gated content flows in Squarespace
Scope of Work
- Design and build full Squarespace site
- Implement Figma brand system
- Create refined homepage with strong editorial hierarchy
- Build Writing section (Articles + White Papers)
- Design white paper download experience (with form capture)
- Media page (logos + links)
- Speaking page
- About page
- Mobile optimization
- Fine-tune spacing, margins, typography
- Ensure clean navigation and SEO-ready structure
Deliverables
- Fully built Squarespace site
- Mobile-responsive
- Highly polished visual execution
- Clean and intuitive navigation
- Gated download flow functioning properly
- Site ready for launch
To Apply
Please include:
- 3–5 Squarespace sites you personally designed that reflect a minimalist, editorial aesthetic
- A brief note on how you approach typography and white space in content-heavy sites
- Confirmation that you can create a refined, custom-feeling site within Squarespace (not just template customisation)
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months, with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Squarespace, Graphic Design, Layout Design, Visual Communication, Website Redesign, Website, Web & Mobile Design Consultation, User Flow, Adaptive Web Design
