I'm looking for a designer who can help us bring long-form technical documents into one consistent, on-brand style. Historically, our brochures/papers/ebooks have been created by different people in different styles, so the library feels inconsistent. We now have a strong reference document plus brand guidelines and a PowerPoint/Word template we want everything aligned to.

This is a layout + brand application job (not "swap the logo and tidy a bit"). The goal is to take an existing legacy paper and rebuild it cleanly so it looks like it belongs in the same family as our InSAR Technical Guide and matches our brand rules.

We will start with ONE paper to prove the approach. If you nail it, there is follow-on work to reformat ~15 papers/ebooks in the same style.

Deliverable for the first test paper (the most important part)

  • A fully reformatted version of the paper using our new brand template style (PowerPoint first; Word optional if you're strong in both).
  • Everything must be editable: text as text, tables as tables, shapes as shapes (not flattened images/screenshots).
  • All original content must be retained (no rewriting, no dropping paragraphs, no summarising). If something doesn’t fit on one page, reflow across pages in a sensible way.
  • All images/figures must be preserved. If an image can't be extracted cleanly, rebuild it (where reasonable) or place a clearly labelled placeholder so we can swap it in.
  • Correct page setup: portrait / A4, consistent margins, spacing, typography, and hierarchy.
  • Apply our brand colours only. Remove any non-brand colours and legacy styling.
  • Replace any old logos with the new logo in the template only.
  • Use our approved icon library only (no random icon sets).
  • Include a front cover (using our style) and a back cover with our contact details + a QR code to (I’ll provide the latest footer details).

What I will provide

  • Brand guidelines
  • The "InSAR Technical Guide" (as the gold-standard style reference)
  • Our PowerPoint template / layouts (and Word template if needed)
  • Current logo files, icon library, and imagery library links
  • The first legacy paper to reformat (PowerPoint/PDF source)

How we’ll judge success

  • Does it look like it belongs in the InSAR Technical Guide family (clean, modern, technical, consistent)?
  • Is it genuinely well-designed (spacing, alignment, hierarchy, readability)?
  • Is everything editable and properly built (not flattened)?
  • Has nothing been lost?
  • Does it feel "tight" and professional enough to become our standard for the next few years?

What to include in your reply

  • 2–3 relevant examples (ideally technical reports/white papers with charts/tables/diagrams)
  • A short note on your approach to rebuilding slides/pages so they stay editable
  • Confirmation you can work strictly to supplied brand guidelines and assets
  • Availability to do a first test document quickly and iterate based on feedback

If this sounds like your kind of work, I’ll share the template pack and the first paper so we can get started. Contract duration of less than 1 month.
