I am looking for a detail-oriented QuickBooks Online expert to handle a one-time import of expenses that have been formatted in an excel spreadsheet. My previous bookkeeper attempted to lump these into category totals, which is unacceptable for audit purposes. I need these entered as individual, line-by-line journal entries.
The Task:
- Reformat Spreadsheet: I have a prepared spreadsheet of expenses. You will need to ensure the headers and data are formatted correctly for a seamless QBO import.
- Duplicate for Shareholder Loan: Each expense entry needs to be duplicated/formatted so it reflects as an expense and a corresponding credit against a shareholder loan.
- Import to QBO: Upload the file so that every single row appears as a separate journal entry in the system.
Quick clarifications:
- NO manual entry: This must be done via the import tool.
- NO consolidated totals: Every expense must remain an individual line item.
- Cleanup: You will need to delete one specific consolidated journal entry to ensure there are no duplicates before the import.
I will have a lot of tasks like this moving forward, as well as monthly reconciliations against bank statements, but this is the task I need help with first. Please confirm you have experience with QBO's batch import tools and can complete this quickly. This should take a knowledgeable pro less than one hour.
Contract duration of less than 1 month, with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Intuit QuickBooks, Accounting Basics, Bookkeeping, Accounting Software, Customer Service, Balance Sheet
