This is a technical production artwork role for rigid packaging (not branding or concept design). We are preparing final production artwork for a rigid lid-and-base box with EVA insert.
We have:
- Manufacturer rigid box template
- Vector logo artwork
- 3D render reference
- Spot UV finish instructions
- Confirmed box dimensions
We require an experienced packaging prepress technician to:
- Place artwork correctly onto the manufacturer's rigid box template
- Apply appropriate bleed and safe zones for print production
- Prepare artwork in CMYK format and provide Pantone references where appropriate
- Create separate, clearly named vector layers for Spot UV
- Ensure artwork avoids fold lines and turn-in margins
- Structure layers professionally (dyeline on locked layer)
- Deliver production-ready files suitable for manufacturing
Deliverables Required:
- Editable Adobe Illustrator (.AI) master file (fully layered)
- Dyeline on separate locked layer
- Spot UV artwork on clearly named separate layer
- Print-ready PDF with bleed applied
- All fonts outlined
- All artwork fully vector where possible
Artwork must be prepared to industry-standard production-ready prepress requirements for rigid grey-board packaging. Artwork must also be structured in a way that allows for minor manufacturer dyeline adjustments without requiring full redesign.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with rigid greyboard packaging (lid & base construction)
- Experience preparing artwork for print production (prepress)
Completion required ideally by 22nd February. Please share an example of relevant rigid packaging artwork you have prepared for print production.
We are building a long-term brand and are looking for a packaging prepress specialist we can work with repeatedly on future product launches.
