Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and write legal briefs, motions, and responses (PRIMARY responsibility).
  • Conduct legal research to support motion practice.
  • Prepare, format, and file court and agency documents.
  • Manage case files from inception through resolution.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and maintain organized case records.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Assist with overflow tasks via Microsoft Teams as needed.

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience drafting substantive legal briefs, motions, and responses (not just formatting or cite-checking).
  • Strong legal research skills (Westlaw, Lexis, or similar platforms).
  • Experience supporting litigation from case inception through resolution.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent legal writing, organization, and deadline management skills.
  • U.S. litigation experience required (federal court experience preferred).

Contract duration of more than 6 months with 40 hours per week.
