We are a US-based growth firm looking for an experienced ORM and SEO specialist to support reputation management and branded search optimization work on an ongoing, part-time basis. This is not a general SEO role. We need someone with hands-on experience in online reputation management, specifically suppressing negative search results, filing review removals and DMCA takedowns, optimizing branded SERPs, and building out business profile presence across high-authority directories.

What you will be doing:

  • Conducting branded SERP audits and tracking changes week over week.
  • Claiming, optimizing, and maintaining business profiles on platforms like Google Business Profile, Crunchbase, Yelp, Glassdoor, ZoomInfo, BBB, YellowPages, RocketReach, and others.
  • Filing review removal requests across platforms (Google, Yelp, BBB, Glassdoor, etc.) using platform-specific policies and dispute processes.
  • Submitting DMCA takedown requests and Google legal removal requests for defamatory or stolen content.
  • Developing and executing negative link suppression strategies using owned properties, PR distribution, and optimized third-party profiles.
  • Coordinating with our paid search team on branded SERP defense campaigns.
  • Delivering weekly progress reports with clear status tracking on all active takedowns, profile updates, and SERP movement.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of dedicated online reputation management experience (not just general SEO).
  • Proven experience with Google's content removal and legal request tools.
  • Demonstrated success filing and winning review removal disputes on major platforms.
  • Strong understanding of branded SERP optimization and suppression tactics.
  • Professional written English, as you will be writing profile copy, press-style content, and client-facing reports.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; this work requires meticulous tracking across dozens of moving pieces.
  • Available for overlap with US Eastern Time for async communication and occasional calls.

In your proposal, please include:

  • Specific examples of reputation management work you have done (negative results suppressed, reviews removed, SERP improvements achieved).
  • Which platforms you have direct experience filing removals on.
  • Your typical process for suppressing a negative search result on page 1.
  • Your availability and preferred monthly rate for 15-20 hours/week.

This is an ongoing engagement with potential to grow in scope. We value reliability, clear communication, and someone who takes ownership of their workstream without needing to be managed closely. Contract duration of 1 to 3 months, with 30 hours per week.

Mandatory skills: Search Engine Optimization, On-Page SEO, Online Reputation Management.
