Project Overview: I'm developing a patent-pending electric grooming trimmer (personal hygiene tool) with a unique convex-contoured blade head designed to ergonomically fit the natural curve of the intergluteal cleft for safe, one-pass trimming. I have basic mockup images (front & side views) in 3D render format showing the domed, curved head on a cylindrical handle.
What I Need:
- Phase 1: Refine my existing mockup into professional, production-ready CAD files.
- Create detailed 3D models (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 preferred) including:
- Convex head geometry with precise curvature for anatomical fit
- Blade integration slot/arch (for standard oscillating/foil blades)
- Ergonomic handle body, assembly, tolerances
- Waterproof seals, battery/motor housing basics
- Export STL/STEP/IGES files for 3D printing prototypes
- Basic exploded views or 2D technical drawings if possible
Requirements:
- Experience in consumer product/industrial design, personal care tools, ergonomics, or small electronics (grooming/shaver experience a big plus)
- Strong portfolio with mechanical assemblies, 3D printing files, or similar devices
- Ability to sign NDA (standard for patent-pending project)
- Clear communication & quick iterations
Budget & Timeline:
- Budget: $ for Phase 1 & 2 (depending on detail level; open to packages)
- Timeline: 1–3 weeks for initial models & revisions
Please include in your offer:
- Relevant portfolio examples (especially product prototypes or grooming/consumer devices)
- Which software you'll use
- Estimated time & price breakdown
- Any questions about the design
