Bee Insightful Therapy is a private therapy practice based in Massachusetts. We use SimplePractice as our EHR and practice management system. We are currently credentialed through third-party platforms (Headway and Alma) and are looking to transition to independent credentialing and in-house billing to eliminate third-party fees and gain full control over our revenue cycle.

What We Need

  • Phase 1 – Credentialing (Immediate Priority)
  • Credential our practice (not just individual provider) with major commercial insurance panels including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare
  • Advise on which additional panels are worth pursuing based on our location, specialty, and patient demographics
  • Handle all CAQH profile setup/maintenance and provider enrollment applications
  • Assist with credentialing as a LICSW in additional states beyond Massachusetts
  • Ensure proper NPI (Type 2) setup for the business entity if not already in place
  • Manage follow-ups with insurance companies through approval
  • Phase 2 – Ongoing Medical Billing
    • Submit and manage insurance claims
    • Handle claim denials, appeals, and resubmissions
    • Verify patient eligibility and benefits
    • Post payments and manage accounts receivable
    • Provide regular reporting on collections and claim status

    Ideal Candidate

    • Proven experience credentialing mental health providers with major commercial payers
    • Strong track record of successful panel enrollments (not just applications submitted)
    • Experience with multi-state credentialing for licensed clinical social workers
    • Knowledge of mental health billing codes (CPT 90834, 90837, 90847, etc.)
    • Experience working with SimplePractice for claims submission and billing workflows
    • Familiarity with the transition from third-party billing platforms to independent billing
    • Excellent follow-up skills — credentialing requires persistent follow-through
    • Strong communication and ability to advise on best practices
