  • Access Control Systems
  • Burglar Alarm Systems
  • Security Camera Systems
  • AV & Video Conferencing Systems
  • Fire Alarm Interface Wiring
  • Power Distribution & Control Wiring

We are looking for a skilled Low-Voltage CAD Drafter to create professional wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and typical details in AutoCAD. This is NOT architectural drafting. This role requires understanding of low-voltage control systems and wiring logic.

Initial Project: Create a professional wiring diagram for:

  • 50 commercial speed doors
  • 24VDC power distribution
  • Relay interface
  • Fire alarm dry contact interface
  • Fail-safe NC logic
  • Individual fused outputs
  • 18/2 homerun wiring (175' typical)

Deliverables:

  • AutoCAD DWG file (2018 or newer)
  • Full-size PDF (11x17 or 24x36)
  • Clean title block with revision block
  • Power calculation note
  • Clear labeling and terminal references
  • Reusable symbol blocks

Ongoing Work (If Good Fit): We are building a reusable standards library and will need ongoing support for:

  • Access control head-end wiring diagrams
  • Maglock fire drop details
  • Burglar alarm typical wiring
  • AV signal flow diagrams
  • Rack elevations
  • IDF/MDF one-lines
  • Power supply distribution diagrams
  • Riser diagrams

This may become long-term recurring work.

Required Skills:

  • Strong AutoCAD (DWG required)
  • Experience drafting low-voltage systems
  • Understanding of:
  • Relays (NO/NC logic)
  • Fail-safe vs fail-secure
  • Power calculations
  • Voltage drop
  • Fire alarm dry contacts
  • Access control power distribution
  • Ability to follow technical wiring descriptions and translate to clean schematics
  • Bonus Experience:

    • Altronix power supplies
    • Brivo / Lenel / Openpath
    • Honeywell / Vista
    • Logitech / Crestron / Extron
    • BICSI standards
    • Commercial security drawings

    What We Will Provide:

    Important: We are not looking for:

    • Graphic designers
    • Visio-only diagrams
    • Architectural-only drafters
    • Concept sketches

    We need technical, accurate wiring diagrams suitable for commercial submittals.
