Project Overview
I am seeking an experienced architect to design my dream home. The project involves creating functional and aesthetically pleasing architectural plans that align with my vision and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative designs and experience in residential projects. I am looking for someone who can collaborate closely with me to bring my ideas to life and ensure that the final design meets all local codes and regulations (in collaboration with our local builder).
The Build (Specifics)
We are an Owner-Builder family in Western Australia. We have a rough concept layout, but we need a talented designer to create the 3D form and façade.
- Style: Organic Industrial / Tropical Modern.
- Key Materials: We are using Styrocon (lightweight concrete panels) for the walls, with black steel and timber accents.
- Vibe: Raw, earthy, modern, with a strong connection to nature.
Scope of Work
- 3D Modeling: Convert our 2D concept sketch into a high-quality 3D model.
- Façade Design: Design the elevations to look stunning while respecting our material constraints.
- Refining the Layout: Critique and improve our floor plan flow.
- Source Files (Mandatory): You must deliver the native Revit (.rvt) or AutoCAD (.dwg) files so our local engineer can finalize the permit.
Important Note on Local Codes:
We are building in a high-risk Bushfire Zone. We will provide you with the main constraints (e.g., "No timber decking," "Window sizes"). You do not need to know Australian Law. Our local Registered Builder will handle the final technical compliance. We just need you to design a vision that is capable of meeting these codes.
Software Requirements:
Must be proficient in Revit or AutoCAD. Please do not apply if you only work in SketchUp or Rhino (unless you can export to CAD).
