We are seeking an experienced Government Contracting Specialist to identify, evaluate, and submit proposals for U.S. federal, state, and municipal opportunities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience sourcing opportunities through:

  • BidNet
  • BidPrime
  • Unison Marketplace
  • GovWin IQ
  • State and City Procurement Portals

Scope of Work

  • Opportunity Research & Identification
    • Identify relevant RFPs, RFQs, and contract opportunities aligned with our services
    • Evaluate fit and recommend pursue / no-pursue decisions
  • Solicitation Review & Analysis
    • Carefully review RFP documents
    • Summarize scope, compliance requirements, and submission criteria
    • Highlight risks, pricing considerations, and eligibility requirements
  • Proposal Preparation & Submission
    • Draft and organize proposal responses
    • Ensure full compliance with formatting, attachments, and mandatory documentation
    • Coordinate required forms and certifications
    • Submit proposals prior to deadlines
  • Tracking & Follow-Up
    • Track submission status
    • Monitor award announcements
    • Follow up when appropriate
  • Timeline Management
    • Maintain a proposal calendar
    • Ensure internal deadlines are met
    • Manage multiple RFP timelines simultaneously
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Review feedback (when available)
    • Adjust strategy based on results
    • Keep registrations and compliance documents current

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Proven experience submitting government proposals
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local procurement processes
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make informed recommendations
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and documentation

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in professional services or service-based contracting
  • Ability to assess profitability and competitive positioning
  • Understanding of government scoring criteria
