We are looking for a fractional beverage R&D consultant (3–6 hours per week initially) to support commercialization of a RTD functional beverage. We have a 3PM partner who will handle formulation and scale-up. We need independent technical oversight to ensure:
- Formula feasibility and commercial reproducibility
- Proper preservative system design with clean-label positioning
- Appropriate handling of clear whey protein under thermal processing
- Review of batching instructions, inclusion levels, and processing parameters
- Sensory alignment (mouthfeel, clarity, stability)
- Regulatory awareness during iteration
This consultant will:
- Review draft formulations and provide rapid feedback
- Join technical calls with the 3PM as needed
- Identify execution risks early
- Help define technical acceptance criteria before pilot
Ideal candidate:
- 5+ years RTD beverage R&D experience
- Experience working directly with co-manufacturers
- Comfortable operating in startup timelines
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months, with 30 hours per week.
