We're building something that's never existed before. This isn't a typical freelance gig, it's a founding-team opportunity for a builder, not a bystander. We're creating a new category at the intersection of dating, travel, and entertainment. Our Phase 1 MVP is complete. Now we need the marketing leader who will make this a cultural moment.
The Product: Details shared after initial conversation.
You’ll Build From Zero:
- Complete brand and go-to-market strategy
- Content flywheel: the product generates media that drives organic acquisition
- Community-led growth
- Creator partnerships and influencer strategy
- Marketing and experiential activations
- PR and earned media engine
- Founder-led content strategy
The Opportunity: This is a ground-floor leadership role with significant long-term upside. Compensation structure evolves as the company grows. We'll walk through the full picture in conversation, including how this role transitions to a market-rate CMO package (£150–200K+) as we hit revenue and funding milestones. All marketing expenses are covered by the company from day one.
We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years marketing leadership (consumer tech, travel, or entertainment preferred)
- Track record building brands from zero to launch
- Content marketing and organic growth expertise
- Understanding of B2C acquisition in competitive markets
- Proven ability creating viral campaigns or content
- Builder mentality, you want to own outcomes and shape a company, not just fill a seat
Commitment: 5–10 hrs/week initially (part-time while employed is fine). Scales to full-time post-launch. Weekly strategy sessions with CEO. Remote, async-friendly.
Why This Matters: The dating app market hit £6.18B in 2024, but 79% of Gen Z reports burnout. The market is desperate for alternatives. We're not competing with Tinder, Hinge, or Bumble — we're creating an entirely new category. Our marketing advantage: the product itself generates content that markets itself. No massive paid acquisition budgets. Just creativity, community, and storytelling.
Contract duration: More than 6 months, with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Marketing Strategy, Public Relations, Internet Marketing.
