We are building an Australian fintech application designed to help users understand and improve their financial position through a single mobile platform. The app combines:
- Credit score visibility (Experian & Illion integrations)
- Bank statement analysis via API
- Budgeting tools and financial insights
- Educational learning modules
Our goal is to create a clean, secure, consumer-facing finance app that merges credit monitoring with cash-flow intelligence and guided financial education.
We already have:
- A defined business model and product vision
- Patent/IP groundwork
- Feature scope and functional requirements
- API pathways identified
We are now looking for a highly experienced mobile app developer to help architect and build the MVP and assist in bringing this product to market.
Responsibilities
- Recommend and implement scalable app architecture
- Build a secure mobile application (iOS + Android)
- Integrate external APIs (credit bureau + financial data providers)
- Develop authentication and consent-based data access flows
- Create dashboards displaying:
- Credit score data
- Cash-flow insights
- Budget tracking
Essential Skills (Must Have)
- Strong experience building production-grade fintech or data-sensitive apps
- Expertise in React Native, Flutter, or similar cross-platform frameworks
- Secure API integration experience (REST, OAuth, token-based auth)
- Experience handling financial or personally identifiable data
- Understanding of:
- Mobile security best practices
- Data encryption and privacy compliance
- Scalable backend architecture
Highly Desirable
- Experience with:
- Credit bureau integrations
- Open Banking / financial aggregation APIs
- Data visualisation dashboards
- Knowledge of Australian fintech or regulatory environment
- Previous startup or MVP build experience
Tech Direction (Open to Guidance)
We are open to your recommendations regarding:
- Frontend framework (Flutter vs React Native vs native)
- Backend architecture / Firebase / Supabase / AWS etc.)
- Secure data handling strategies
We are not looking for a basic "template app." This requires thoughtful architecture, strong security practices, and production-level development experience.
