We are launching a medical apparel e-commerce website and need a skilled UI/visual designer to refine and polish our homepage, shop pages, and cart/checkout pages. The structure and layout are already defined. This is not a full redesign from scratch. We need a designer who can elevate the visuals, typography, spacing, and hierarchy to create a clean, modern, and trustworthy feel. Experience designing for WooCommerce or Shopify product-heavy stores is a plus. This project is typography-sensitive. We value designers who understand font hierarchy, readability, and professional tone — not just colours and graphics. This is a design-only role (no development needed).
Scope
- Refine homepage visual design
- Improve typography hierarchy and spacing
- Create a clean, conversion-focused aesthetic
- Maintain a minimal, professional look (not flashy or trendy)
- Deliver high-fidelity mockups in Figma
- Provide a simple typography/style guide for consistency
- Designs must be realistic to implement (not conceptual layouts)
- Desktop and mobile versions required
Style Direction
- Professional
- Medical-adjacent
- Trust-focused
- Clean and modern
We prefer:
- Strong sans-serif typography
- Excellent readability
- Balanced whitespace
- Calm, organized layouts
Important
To be considered, please include:
- 2–3 live e-commerce sites you designed
- One example where typography was a key focus
- A brief note on how you approach font hierarchy
- Please confirm you read this by starting your proposal with the word "Scrubs"
Generic portfolios or template-style work will not be considered.
Communication
- Clear English communication required
- Async workflow is fine
- We value thoughtful, detail-oriented designers
We are looking for quality over speed and are happy to pay fair rates for strong work. If your work is a good fit, there may be future page design opportunities. Budget is flexible for the right designer. Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
Mandatory skills: User Interface Design, Responsive Design, Ecommerce Design, Typography, User Experience Design, Web Design, High Fidelity Design, Mockup, Website Redesign, Home Page
