Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent, unprovoked seizures. Accurate and early detection of epilepsy, along with seizure type classification, is vital for patient care, especially for individuals at risk of unrecognized, focal, or non-motor seizures.
This project proposes a two-pronged deep learning approach for automated epilepsy diagnosis and seizure type classification using both:
- Wearable multi-modal biosignal data (from SeizeIT2 dataset)
- Publicly available brain MRI image data of epileptic and non-epileptic patients (e.g., TUSZ-MRI or Bern EEG-MRI)
Combining time-series sensor modalities with neuroimaging data allows for a hybrid diagnostic pipeline that mimics how clinicians correlate neurological imaging with behavioral/physiological markers.
The details of the project and milestones can be found in the attached file.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
Mandatory skills: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Network, Artificial Neural Network
Optional skills: Algorithm Development, Statistics
