We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator / Quantity Takeoff Specialist to prepare a comprehensive material takeoff for an upcoming restaurant construction project.
The scope of work includes:
- Framing Lumber Takeoff
- Complete lumber quantity takeoff (studs, plates, beams, joists, headers, blocking, etc.)
- Wall framing (interior & exterior)
- Roof framing components
- Structural wood members
- Waste factor consideration
- Organized BOQ in Excel format
- Site Work Takeoff
- Earthwork quantities (cut & fill, excavation, backfill)
- Subgrade preparation
- Gravel/base material quantities
- Site grading quantities
- Exterior flatwork (if applicable)
- Concrete Takeoff
- Footings
- Foundation walls
- Slabs on grade
- Grade beams
- Reinforced concrete elements
- Concrete volume calculations (CY)
- Formwork quantities (if applicable)
- Rebar quantification (if included in drawings)
Project Requirements:
- Must have strong experience in U.S. construction takeoffs
- Ability to read and interpret architectural & structural drawings accurately
- Deliver detailed, well-organized BOQ with clear descriptions
- Provide marked-up drawings showing takeoff references
- High level of accuracy is mandatory
Deliverables:
- Detailed quantity takeoff in Excel
- Clear categorization by trade
- Marked-up plans (PDF)
- Summary sheet
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of construction estimating experience
- Experience with restaurant or commercial projects preferred
- Proficient in takeoff software
