We are a forward-thinking Accounting and Fractional CFO firm on a mission to move beyond manual data entry and basic spreadsheets. We want to leverage the power of Anthropic's Claude (specifically Claude Cowork and API integrations) to revolutionise our internal and client-facing workflows. We aren’t looking for someone to just "write prompts." We need an architect who can build secure, reliable, and scalable automation systems that handle sensitive financial data with 99.9% accuracy.
The Mission
- Integrate Claude into our daily operations to automate:
- Financial Analysis: Summarising P&L statements, identifying variances, and drafting CFO advisory memos.
- Workflow Orchestration: Setting up Claude Cowork to act as a collaborative partner for our team members.
- Data Extraction: Transforming messy, unstructured financial documents into clean, categorised data.
- Reporting: Automating the generation of complex management reports and board decks.
What We’re Looking For
- The Claude Specialist: Deep experience with Claude 3.5 Sonnet/Opus, Claude Cowork, and Anthropic's API.
- The Architect: Proven ability to build multi-step "agentic" workflows (using tools like Zapier or LangChain/Python).
- The Finance-Literate Techie: You don’t need to be a CPA, but you should know the difference between an Accrual and a Cash basis and understand the sensitivity of PII/financial data.
- Security Minded: You prioritise data privacy and understand how to use AI without compromising client confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Audit our current manual workflows (QBO/Xero/Excel) and identify high-impact automation opportunities.
- Build and deploy custom Claude-powered "agents" for specific accounting tasks.
- Set up collaborative spaces in Claude Cowork to streamline team communication and document review.
- Provide documentation and brief training for our staff on how to interact with these new tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python for custom API integrations.
- Familiarity with accounting software APIs (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage).
- A portfolio of previous AI automation projects (bonus points if they are in the FinTech or Professional Services space).
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
