I am a professional strolling (walk-around) magician performing under the name Sidney Lee. I specialize in close-up magic performed while moving between small groups at private and corporate events, creating intimate and highly personal experiences.
I am seeking a video editor to create a cinematic Brand Teaser Film approximately 45–60 seconds in length to be featured on my website homepage and promotional platforms. This project is not intended to be a traditional performance demo reel. Instead, it should function as an emotional and visual introduction to my brand, presence, and performance atmosphere.
Brand Tone and Personality:
- Inviting and genuine at first touch
- Measured and open-minded in presence
- Captivating in the moment
- Illuminating in memory
The video should feel warm, intimate, refined, and emotionally grounded rather than loud or high-energy. The pacing should feel intentional and cinematic, allowing moments to breathe naturally.
Content Direction:
This teaser should highlight the experience of strolling magic rather than focusing solely on tricks. It should emphasize:
- Natural interaction with small groups
- Movement between guests or tables
- Close-up hand performance moments
- Subtle audience engagement
- Professional presence and confidence
I currently have performance footage and strong reaction photographs. Reaction photos may be incorporated using tasteful cinematic animation such as slow zoom or parallax motion. These photo moments should feel integrated and natural rather than like a slideshow.
Tone and Editing Style:
- Cinematic color grading with warm tones
- Clean and elegant editing style
- Subtle, minimal transitions
- Emotional but understated instrumental music
- Natural ambience or audience audio where appropriate
Please avoid:
- Fast-cut promotional or hype-style editing
- Heavy motion graphics or flashy effects
- Trailer-style dramatic sound design
- Overuse of text overlays
Brand Color Key:
The visual tone of the video should align with the following brand color palette:
- PRIMARY COLORS – Core Colors
- Warm Midnight Blue— #26476A
- Soft Cream — #FBF5E8
- Candlelight Amber— #C68642
- Quiet Teal— #3A9FA3
- Soft Charcoal— #2E2F33
- Warm Stone— #8A8F8B
Color grading should lean warm and cinematic. Gold tones should feel refined and muted rather than bright or metallic. Contrast should feel soft and atmospheric rather than harsh.
Purpose of the Video:
This teaser will serve as the first impression for potential clients visiting my website. It should communicate professionalism, intimacy, and emotional engagement. The viewer should feel that the performance is personal, refined, and memorable.
The finished video should feel like a short brand film rather than a promotional montage.
Editor Collaboration:
I will provide footage and reaction photos and welcome professional guidance regarding pacing and structure. However, maintaining alignment with the brand tone and visual identity described above is essential.
Contract duration of less than 1 month, with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Video Commercial
- Motion Graphics
- Adobe After Effects
- Testimonial Video
- Corporate Video
- Video Color Correction
- Social Media Video
- Video Advertising
- Facebook Advertising
- Cinematic Video
- Video Post-Editing
- Social Media Management
- YouTube Video
