We are launching a premium American V-Twin motorcycle parts ecommerce brand built on Shopify. We are an authorized motorcycle parts dealer for Drag Specialties / Parts Unlimited and have full API access (Orders API v2.0 OpenAPI spec available). We are seeking an experienced Shopify + API integration developer (or team) to build a fully automated, high-performance ecommerce platform with custom middleware integration. This is NOT a basic Shopify theme job. This requires backend API architecture and production-grade development.
Project Scope
- Shopify Store Build (Premium Execution)
- Modern, aggressive V-Twin design
- Dark, performance-oriented theme
- Advanced navigation with mega menus
- Fitment filtering (Year / Make / Model)
- High-performance UX optimized for conversion
- Mobile-first build
- Custom Middleware Development
- Build middleware to connect Shopify with Parts Unlimited API:
- Authenticate via API key (header-based)
- POST /v2/orders/dropship
- GET /v2/orders/dropship (tracking sync)
- Address validation + truncation logic
- SKU → part_number mapping
- Error handling for status codes (200–521)
- Cancellation/backorder policy handling
- Automated tracking number sync to Shopify fulfillment
- Automation Requirements
- Real-time or scheduled order push
- Automated fulfillment updates
- Inventory & pricing sync (if Parts API implemented)
- Logging & error monitoring
- Fail-safe retry logic
- Pagination handling
- Infrastructure, Laravel, or serverless middleware preferred
