I'm building a structured data pipeline for U.S. nursing home information. The goal is to integrate CMS datasets, scrape Texas LTC inspection/violation data, and maintain everything inside Airtable with clean relational linking. All automation must be built in so I can maintain it long term. Texas is the first state — the system should be modular and scalable for additional states later.
What You Will Build
- CMS → Airtable Integration (API-based)
- Pull CMS datasets (Facilities, Inspections/Deficiencies, Staffing, Enforcement)
- Load them into Airtable
- Link everything using the CMS Provider ID (CCN)
- Support monthly refreshes
- Include full historical backfill + incremental updates
- Texas LTC Scraper (HTML-based)
- Scrape public Texas LTC inspection & violation data
- Parse inspection events and violation details
- Link records to facilities using CCN or name/address matching
- Run weekly incremental updates (detect new records only)
- Avoid duplicates using defined matching rules
- Airtable Schema Refinement
- Review and optimize the schema
- Ensure proper linked records
- Add rollups/lookups
- Maintain CCN as the master key
- Keep the structure scalable for additional states
- Monitoring & Error Handling
- Basic run failure alerts
- Logging of failed records
- Airtable "Errors" table or Make notifications
- Documentation & Handoff
- Loom walkthroughs for each workflow
- Clear documentation of logic, fields, and update schedules
Technical Requirements
- Must use (not n8n) for all core automation
- Strong experience with Airtable relational design
- Experience scraping public state websites
- Ability to implement incremental update logic
- Clean, maintainable workflow design
