We are seeking an experienced Packaging and Brand Identity Designer to develop the visual language for our African Premium Water, a new bottled water brand. Our goal is to disrupt the local market by offering a high-end, luxury aesthetic at an everyday, accessible price point. We want the bottle to look like it belongs on a 5-star hotel table or a high-end bar, while being priced for the everyday supermarket shopper.
Scope of Work:
- Brand Identity Refinement: Finalizing the logo and "shield" emblem to ensure it feels "African Premium"—sophisticated, clean, and trustworthy.
- Label Design: Create a minimalist, high-clarity label design for three SKUs: 330ml, 500ml, and 750ml.
- Material Strategy: Advise on finishes (e.g., clear BOPP labels, metallic foils, or screen-printed looks) that achieve a premium feel on standard PET bottles.
- Cap & Neck Detail: Design the visual look for the bottle closures (aiming for a metallic/silver finish).
- Brand Guidelines: A brief "Look & Feel" document including typography and color palette allowing for Hotels and other businesses to use the same to order custom water with their logo.
Target Audience:
- HoReCa: Hotels, Lodges, Restaurants, and Bars.
- Retail: Supermarkets and convenience stores.
Required Skills:
- Proven portfolio in Beverage Packaging (specifically water or spirits).
- Deep understanding of print specifications (transparency, metallic inks, and PET bottle constraints).
- Ability to balance "Minimalist/Modern" with "Cultural Relevance."
- Experience with 3D rendering for product mockups.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months, with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Packaging Design, Covers & Packaging, Graphic Design, Adobe Illustrator, Label & Packaging Design.
