We are launching an innovative multi-functional beauty device under our brand and are seeking an experienced product developer/designer to lead this project from concept to production-ready prototype.

Project Scope
- Primary Objective (Track A - Preferred): Develop an outstanding, differentiated beauty device that stands out significantly from existing market solutions through:
- Innovative technology integration
- Superior skin improvement results (primary focus: skin smoothing/anti-aging)
- Built-in lock-in mechanism (ampoule/serum delivery system)
- Sustainable design features
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Technology Research & Selection: Research and recommend optimal technology combinations, potentially including:
- EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation)
- Microcurrent
- LED Light Therapy
- Heat/Cold therapy
- Vibration
- Other relevant modalities
- Key Regulatory Considerations:
- General Product Safety Directive (GPSD) and applicable EU consumer product regulations
- Low Voltage Directive (LVD) 2014/35/EU - if device operates between certain voltage ranges
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 2014/30/EU - ensuring the device doesn't cause electromagnetic interference
- RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU - restriction of hazardous substances
- CE marking requirements for consumer electronics
- Cosmetic use classification - device claims, marketing language, and technical specifications must clearly position it as a cosmetic beauty tool, NOT making medical/therapeutic claims that would trigger Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745
- Ensure intensity levels, frequencies, and technical parameters remain within cosmetic (non-medical) thresholds
- Documentation and technical file preparation for EU market compliance
- Incorporate sustainability features (sustainable materials, energy efficiency, recyclability, etc.)
- Design ampoule/serum delivery system for consumable lock-in effect
- Create marketing-ready visualizations alongside technical drawings
- Assess technical feasibility of proposed designs
- Coordinate prototyping and iterate based on manufacturer feedback
- Ensure quality standards, sustainability requirements, and regulatory compliance are met
- Verify manufacturer's capability to provide necessary compliance documentation
- Recommend strategic direction with clear rationale
- Manage timeline to ensure production-ready device by Q3 2025
- Deliver technical specifications, CAD files, and manufacturing documentation
Timeline: Critical Deadline: Q must have market-ready, inventory-available device.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in beauty device or consumer electronics product development
- Strong understanding of skincare technologies (EMS, microcurrent, LED therapy, etc.)
- Knowledge of EU product regulations and cosmetic device classification requirements
- Experience working with Asian manufacturers (China preferred)
- CAD/3D modeling expertise
- Ability to balance innovation with practical manufacturing constraints
- Knowledge of sustainable product design principles
- Understanding of CE marking and EU compliance processes

- Intellectual Property: All design rights, IP, technical documentation, and deliverables become our exclusive property upon completion
- Existing Resources: We have tested standard models from two manufacturers and have established contacts, but seek significant differentiation or strategic modification approach
