We need an AWS DevOps engineer to set up a cost-efficient Windows EC2 environment for web-based workflows (LinkedIn, Chrome browsing, research tools). This is a small, focused project. We are not building enterprise infrastructure — just a stable, secure Windows cloud machine with a static outbound IP. Budget-conscious build is important.
What We Need
- Windows EC2 Setup
- Launch Windows EC2 instance (2 vCPU / 8GB equivalent)
- Install Google Chrome
- Enable secure RDP access
- Basic OS hardening
- Static IP Configuration
- Attach Elastic IP (static public IPv4)
- Ensure outbound IP remains consistent
- Denver IP Requirement (Important)
- We need outbound traffic to appear from Denver, CO. AWS public IP geolocation does not guarantee city-level location.
- We are open to:
- Cost-efficient proxy solution
- VPN solution with Denver exit
- Simple static egress workaround
- The goal is reliability — not overengineering.
- Short setup documentation
- Monthly cost estimate breakdown
- Instructions for access handoff
Budget & Scope
- Small fixed-price project preferred
- Please propose a simple milestone breakdown
- Ongoing maintenance is optional (not required)
- We are optimizing for:
- Lowest reasonable monthly AWS cost
- Minimal complexity
- Simple, clean setup
Required Skills
- AWS EC2 (Windows)
- VPC & Security Groups basics
- Elastic IP configuration
- RDP security best practices
- Practical cost optimization mindset
To Apply
- Estimated AWS monthly cost (rough breakdown)?
- How you would achieve Denver-based IP?
- Estimated setup time?
- Your hourly rate or fixed-price proposal?
- Keep responses concise and technical.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Amazon Web Services, Amazon EC2, DevOps, Linux System Administration, Network Administration, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Ubuntu
