I am looking for a highly skilled Excel expert to build a structured and professional Project Control Dashboard for internal use. This is NOT a simple Gantt chart. I need a clean, scalable, and logically structured system designed for a Project Engineer representing the Proponent side of a project. The dashboard must support project monitoring across multiple zones and include milestone tracking, communication management, and sponsor action tracking.
Project Overview: The project is divided into 5 Zones. Each Zone contains similar milestones (initially around 6 per zone, expandable later). The system must include the following modules:
- Milestone & Zone Control
- 5 Zones with configurable milestone template
- Weight-based progress calculation
- Overall Construction %
- Overall Procurement %
- RAG status (On Track / At Risk / Delayed)
- Basic forecast delivery date logic (advisory level)
- Communication Log Module
- Track emails and formal letters
- Ability to link communication to:
- Specific Zone
- Specific Milestone
- Separate tracking for:
- Pending on Proponent
- Pending on Contractor / Execution Agency
- Aging counter (days outstanding)
- Overdue flag
- Basic escalation suggestion logic (rule-based)
- Sponsor Action Board
- Log action items raised during sponsor meetings
- Assign owner (Proponent or Contractor)
- Due date tracking
- Status tracking
- Overdue flag
- Ability to link to Zone and/or Milestone
- Dashboard Requirements
- Clean, professional, and executive-level
- Minimalistic and well-structured
- Easy to read
- Not cluttered
It must display:
- Overall Construction %
- Overall Procurement %
- Forecast Delivery Date
- Total Delayed Milestones
- Actions Pending (Proponent)
- Actions Pending (External)
- Sponsor Actions Open
- Zone performance overview
Technical Requirements:
- Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 preferred)
- Use structured tables
- Clean backend structure (separate data sheets and dashboard)
- Avoid messy formulas
- Avoid heavy VBA unless truly necessary
- Scalable design (must allow adding milestones later)
Bonus if you:
- Understand project controls or construction projects
- Have built similar dashboards before
- Can design a clean and modern Excel UI
