Hi I'm building a football career RPG game and I'm looking for a 2D artist to create a modular character/avatar system (like classic football career games). I want the same vibe as SoccerStar (game for playa games, check it online) style avatars (cartoony, bold outlines, simple shading), but 100% original assets (no reuse/copy of any existing game art). I don't mind if someone uses AI for this job.
What I need (Characters only):
- A layered / modular avatar system where I can combine parts in-app to create many unique faces.
- Parts (layered PNGs):
- Head base (skin tone variants)
- Eyes (multiple styles) + iris color layer
- Eyebrows
- Nose
- Mouth
- Hair (front) + Hair (back) as separate layers
- Beard / facial hair
- Ears / accessories
Style requirements:
- Check attached for examples
- Cartoon / premium mobile game look
- Bold clean outline, consistent line weight
- Simple cel shading, high readability at small sizes
- Front-facing portrait, centered
- Consistent alignment across all parts so they stack perfectly
Technical requirements:
- Transparent PNG exports per layer
- 1024×1024 canvas for every layer (same position/anchor)
- Provide source file (PSD / AI / Figma / etc.)
Naming convention like: , , , , , etc.
First milestone:
To make sure the style and alignment are perfect, I want to start with a small test:
- 1 head base (neutral skin)
- 1 eyes set + iris color layer
- 1 eyebrows set
- 1 nose
- 1 mouth
- 1 hair style (front + back)
If it matches what I need, we continue with the full pack (multiple variations per category + skin tones + hair colors + facial hair sets).
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
Mandatory skills: Game Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Adobe Photoshop, Animation, 2D Animation, Character Design, Adobe Illustrator
