We are seeking a motivated and compassionate ABA Tutor or ALN Teaching Assistant to join a home and mainstream school programme for a secondary-aged learner. The programme is overseen by a qualified BCBA consultant who will provide full, ongoing training — making this an excellent opportunity for candidates eager to develop specialist skills in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
You will work across both a home setting and a mainstream school, delivering structured 1:1 support and helping the learner thrive socially and academically.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a positive, motivating relationship with the learner
- Implement strategies and targets set by the BCBA in classroom and home settings
- Deliver academic targets in 1:1 sessions based on the BCBA programme
- Plan and deliver engaging activities to develop social communication and peer interaction
- Collaborate with the ABA team and family, sharing regular feedback on sessions
- Collect and record data on a daily basis as evidence of progress
- Prepare, file, and maintain data recording sheets
- Work closely with the classroom teacher and SENCO on a daily basis
- Knowledge of play skills and social communication development with secondary-aged pupils
- Understanding of working with young people with additional learning needs (ALN)
- Previous experience as an ABA Tutor (not essential — full training is provided)
- Experience with Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) approaches is an advantage
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- At least 1 year of experience in a school or educational setting preferred
