AOFM Graduates @ Fashions Finest: London Fashion Week. Each season during London Fashion Week, we send a team of graduates to work on the two full days of shows with Fashions Finest, an event that takes place in The Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden. The event sees up-and-coming designers from around the UK and the rest of the world showcase their work to the fashion media, attracting a very big crowd.

This season, we offered one of our more experienced graduates the chance to be the event's Key Makeup Artist. She spoke in advance with the designers of the shows and pieced together the looks for the big day, working meticulously on the day to teach each of the graduates the decided-upon looks before checking them all before they hit the runway. This was a significant opportunity that we were proud to offer.

With a full team backstage, the days began at around 11am for set up and briefings before working through the massive amount of models hired to showcase the huge amount of designers' work. These were long days, seeing our graduates change makeup looks often and be on hand at all times for touch-ups and refreshes.

It was a moment of pride to see our graduate team headed up by a fellow graduate, serving as an inspiration to those just starting out on shows that they too could be a key artist backstage in the future.
