FreedomPay is seeking a Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) subject matter expert to join our Business Development organization. This is a highly commercial, client-facing role responsible for building and scaling our DCC strategy across the UK, US, and Europe. You will own the DCC revenue stream end to end, working closely with merchants, acquiring partners, and internal stakeholders to drive adoption, structure deals, and grow participation across our ecosystem. The role sits within Business Development and partners closely with senior sales leadership on strategic enterprise opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for Dynamic Currency Conversion.
- Own and grow the DCC revenue stream across the UK, US, and Europe.
- Identify, develop, and close DCC opportunities across existing merchants and net new prospects.
- Partner with Business Development and Strategic Account Executives on enterprise deals, with particular focus on hospitality, retail, and large global merchants.
- Drive adoption of FreedomPay's DCC capabilities across the merchant base.
- Collaborate with aligned acquiring partners to co-sell DCC, structure joint go-to-market motions, and optimize shared economics through coordinated pipeline reviews, joint pricing strategies, and merchant-level enablement.
- Develop tailored commercial approaches for acquirers whose DCC programs may compete with ours, positioning FreedomPay's value proposition and identifying alternative monetization paths that preserve the partnership.
- Negotiate commercial terms with merchants and partners, including pricing, revenue share, and contract structure.
- Convert existing FreedomPay merchants to DCC-enabled programs.
- Build and manage a disciplined pipeline with clear revenue targets tied to DCC growth.
- Educate internal teams and clients on DCC strategy, value, and market landscape.
- Represent FreedomPay at industry events, partner forums, and executive-level merchant engagements.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in Dynamic Currency Conversion, with a strong grasp of FX economics, cardholder experience, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including acquirers, processors, schemes, gateways, and merchant relationships.
- Proven experience in a revenue-owning sales or commercial role, with a consistent track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including pricing, revenue share, and multi-party structures.
- Ability to operate as both a strategic lead and a hands-on seller.
- Executive presence and credibility with C-suite merchant and partner stakeholders, with the ability to lead boardroom conversations and influence senior decision-makers.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills across commercial, technical, and finance audiences.
- Experience working within the UK market; US and broader European experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to build and scale a program from the ground up with a high level of ownership and autonomy.
- Comfort operating in a matrixed environment, partnering across Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Finance.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally across UK, US, and EU markets.
