We are looking for a senior and hands-on Country Director to support the expansion and operational setup of our presence in European markets. This role combines strategic oversight with operational execution and is ideal for a candidate experienced in launching and scaling regulated financial services businesses.

Market Setup & Operations

  • Coordinate market entry activities, including company setup, banking infrastructure, and engagement with local regulators in cooperation with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient office management.
  • Act as a key local representative of the company in interactions with regulatory and governmental bodies.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.

Business Growth & Market Development

  • Contribute to the development and execution of market strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and support business expansion initiatives.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitors, and regulatory changes.

Brand & Market Presence

  • Support initiatives aimed at increasing brand awareness.
  • Participate in marketing campaigns, events, and PR activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior role within financial services / fintech / brokerage / investment banking.
  • Strong understanding of European regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in market entry, business setup, or scaling operations.
  • Experience managing office operations.
  • Experience managing a team of around 10 people.
  • Experience taking responsibility for office profit and efficiency.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across relationships with regulators, banking partners, media, and internal leadership teams.
  • Experience representing a company through conference speaking.
  • Fluent English and Greek are required.
  • Eligible to work in Greece and ready to relocate to Athens.
