(NASDAQ: FRHC), a publicly traded multinational financial services group with a presence in more than 20 countries across Europe, Central Asia, and beyond. As the company continues to expand its regulated brokerage business across the European market, we are seeking a Country Director to lead our Warsaw, Poland branch. Based in our Warsaw office, this role will oversee the branch's operational, regulatory, and public-facing functions while ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and supporting the company's continued growth in the Polish market.
This is a classic operational and administrative leadership role. The ideal candidate combines strong operational management skills with a credible regulatory track record in the Polish or broader EU financial market and is comfortable acting as a public face of the company.
Strategy & Operations
- Develop and execute the local business plan in line with the group's growth strategy
- Report on KPIs set by European headquarters, including operational milestones
- Contribute to strategic planning and long-term market positioning
- Manage the local operational budget and ensure cost efficiency
- Monitor and report on revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators
- Supervise implementation of operational workflows, client service processes, and local support systems
- Coordinate with headquarters to deploy IT and operational systems
- Ensure local operational readiness and scalability of systems
- Establish and optimize local banking and payment infrastructure
Regulatory & Compliance
- Oversee the process of obtaining tied agent status with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF)
- Represent the company in official communications with KNF and other financial institutions
- Ensure full compliance with Polish and EU regulatory requirements, including AML/KYC, data protection, and client onboarding standards
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to implement local regulatory frameworks
- Ensure compliance with the group's policies, standards, and governance framework
Public Relations & Communications
- Manage relationships with PR agencies, influencers, and media partners
- Represent the company in interviews, press events, and conferences to strengthen brand recognition and trust
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and alignment with corporate communication standards
- Supervise thought-leadership and media engagement initiatives to position the company as a leading investment platform locally
- Oversee localization of marketing and educational content in Polish
Team & Culture
- Build and manage a competent local team aligned with corporate values
- Promote professionalism, integrity, and a culture of regulatory and operational excellence
- Ensure effective internal communication and collaboration across departments and with European headquarters
Proven experience in administrative/operational management (COO-type profile) within an investment/brokerage company β sales leadership experience is not required and a more academic, governance-oriented background is preferred. Prior regulatory approval experience in Poland or another EU jurisdiction β e.g., previously approved as a branch manager, tied agent director, or director of a company holding an investment firm license, a banking license, or a payment institution license. Strong public presence: comfortable with media, conferences, and public speaking. Fluent English; Polish market experience required.
